Terms

Short version: Wordlord is a free game with play money. Be decent, don't cheat, and don't expect the coins to be worth anything.

Who runs it

Wordlord is a hobby project made and run by one independent student developer. By adding Wordlord to a server or playing it, you agree to these terms and to Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Coins are play money

  • Coins, words, titles and badges have no real-world value.
  • They can't be bought, sold, cashed out or traded for money or anything outside the game, and nobody may offer to do so. Accounts that try are reset or banned.
  • The casino games use play money only and are off until a server admin turns them on.
  • Balances, prices and rules can change as the game is balanced, and ownership of words resets every season.

Fair play

No alt accounts, bots, scripts or fake servers to farm coins, and no spamming words to collect rent. The fair play rules explain the limits. Breaking them can mean a reset, a ban from the game, or a server losing its global status.

Words and content

Owning a word in the game gives no rights to the word itself. Slurs and adult words can't be owned, and server admins can block any word. Don't use Wordlord's names, streets or coinage to harass anyone.

Your data

Wordlord never stores what you type. The privacy page lists exactly what it keeps. Removing the bot from a server stops it reading that server.

No guarantees

Wordlord is provided as it is, for free. It can go down, lose data or change, and the developer isn't liable for any loss from using it. It may be shut down at any time.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date below says when. Questions go to the Wordlord community server on Discord.
